Tuxedo Park is one of the most unique villages in the Hudson Valley today, featuring a deep history known for its elegant mansions, carriage houses, ballrooms, stables, fish hatcheries, gardener’s cottages and jockey’s homes.

Situated in the Town of Tuxedo and approximately 28 miles north of New York City, the Village features an entrance and exit strictly controlled by two private police gates.

Established in 1866 by Pierre Lorillard, the 2,300-acre woodlands surrounding three lakes were intended as a private hunting and fishing reserve and exclusive retreat. Listed on the National Historic Register, the Park has many distinctive homes designed by internationally famous architects. In 1952,Tuxedo Park became an incorporated village.

A one-hour commute to New York City by train or bus, Tuxedo Park has community water and sewer as well as a public beach for all residents. The Sterling Forest ski area is only minutes away.

A private school is located in Tuxedo Park and shopping facilities are abundant both in the town itself and close by off Route 17. The Woodbury Commons shopping outlet mall is just 15 minutes to the north.
